Job Purpose

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a 1st Line IT Support / Helpdesk advisor who will deliver support for various locations and brands across the UK. In your 1st Line IT Support / Helpdesk role you can expect to ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support our core business services. Our central IT teams are essential in making Ageas a successful business so with over 5,000 employees you’ll be playing a fundamental role!

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required and communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail and proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. A fundamental part of this role is to possess a strong customer service orientation and the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment along with the ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all incident/requests
  • Provide efficient, professional and courteous customer support at all times
  • Administration of active directory and policy admin
  • Perform and maintain daily system checks for Ageas IT systems
  • Assist on projects such as department moves, installing new systems, new PCs and software rollouts
  • Any other IT task as deemed appropriate by Team Manager

Knowledge & Experience

 

Experience and knowledge with core software applications, including

  • Active directory
  • Windows 7
  • Microsoft Office
