  • Job Purpose

    The successful person will be responsible for all matters relating to network design, implementation, security and strategy. This requires the job holder to liaise with other operating companies, customers, partners and suppliers to ensure that appropriate networking topologies are implemented.


    The ideal candidate will have a great blend of customer service and technical experience in managing and handling our customer queries in our day to day network service provision.  




    • Take responsibility for all matters relating to network based services such as changes to business demand and key network moves, adds and changes.
    • The Development and on-going maintenance of our network related processes, policies and procedures. Development will include both internal and external support and delivery.
    • Working closely with the business and contribute to our overall business continuity planning process.
    • Management, reporting and delivery of network related MI.
    • To support, design and implement improvement to our network services, supporting any network related initiatives and activities.
    • Working with our IT Service management function to ensure our incident, problem, change and configuration management processes are fit for purpose and complementary.
    • To complement the role of the Security Officer by ensuring that our network security adheres to agreed industry standards.
    • Mange the expectations of the business by reporting updates in a timely manner.




    In order to support our network infrastructure you will have solid experience in all aspects of network support services.


    • Implementing and supporting VOIP based solutions
    • Implementing and supporting wireless network solutions
    • Sound knowledge of implementing and supporting VPN infrastructures
    • Providing MI reporting on all aspects of the network information and security
    • Supporting the management of change within the network environment including the planning and scheduling of change activities – to include priority, impact and urgency.


    Experience in the following would be advantageous:

    • CCNP (Cisco Certified Routing and Switching Professional)
    • CCNP (Cisco Certified Security Professional)
    • CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional)
    • WireShark
    • SkyBox
    • An IP Address Manager (any commonly used product)
    • Checkpoint
    • Whats Up Gold
    • NetFlow
    • IPS/IDS
    • NAC
