  • Job Purpose

    Ageas has an exciting opportunity to recruit a brand new role in our business to join our IT Team to focus on helping us understand what Information and Data we hold. You will be working very closely with stakeholders all across the Ageas business including both Commercial and Operational teams but particularly supporting our Compliance, Change and Senior IT team to shape the way we work with our data and information management. Although we know what data we have and how we currently use it, we are looking to the future and looking to appoint someone who will act as a subject matter expert for GDPR within IT and drive forwards the quality of Information and Data we handle for the business. Within this role you will be working closely with a wide variety of projects and business changes focusing on how our systems are being updated to handle our data and how this is being recorded making sure our technical teams understand the importance of getting this right.


    Here’s some of the accountabilities of this new Data Information Analyst opportunity:

    1. Ensure all Data Flow Maps and Inventories are complete and signed off by the business owners.
    2. Ensure a standard review process is in place to reconfirm quality and completeness of the maps and inventory at regular points throughout the year.
    3. Drive up the level of proactive data flow recording by implementing strong engagement processes with key business stakeholders and other support functions such as Change, Information Security, Compliance and Legal.
    4. Act as a subject matter expert for the implications of GDPR on the overall IT estate ensuring a central list of capability and controls is maintained.
    5. Act as the primary contact for the IT Data services team with both the overall Ageas Data Governance Committee and individual business data owners.
    6. Build strong processes and relationships with the change community to ensure any new projects are accurately impact assessed against the IT Data Services systems.
    7. Develop strong process and relationships with the testing communities to ensure the generation and use of any test data does not impact our production data quality and can be proactively used to assure our end to end data linage.


    Key to your success in this Data Information Analyst will be your experience of:

    1. Working within a data governance, data analysis or business analysis role.
    2. Implementing and stabilising business processes with stakeholders across multi-sited and multi disciplinary functions.
    3. Knowledge of GDPR and wider Data Governance practices a distinct advantage.
    4. Experience of Broker / Insurer IT processes, systems and architectures.
    5. A wealth of experience of dealing with and influencing colleagues at all levels of the business through first class inter-personal and communication styles.
    6. Applying a customer-centric approach and experience of representing a stakeholders’ view within all internal decisions.
    7. Excellent planning / control and organisation skills.
    8. Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
    9. Strong presentation skills and ability to talk comfortably and knowledgeably with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management and data owners.
    10. Practical experience of Project and Programme management methods.
